Main Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Ensure the smooth day-to day operational running of the cyber services team working in conjunction with the scheduler
  • Independently perform internal and external vulnerability assessments and web application penetration testing.
  • Undertake security assessments of network devices,firewalls, Windows, Linux servers and miscellaneous appliances.
  • Deliver work under the CHECK scheme or to CHECK standards.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Quality standards to include ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001 and CHECK & CREST Accreditations
  • Ensure adequate quality control processes are in place and non-conformance instances are handled in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Support Director of Cyber with client presentations and meetings from a technical viewpoint.
  • Monitor, analyse, drive and report on performance.
  • Monitor, analyse and develop efficiencies within the division.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of contracts
  • Facilitate the definition of contract scope, goals and deliverables
  • Analyse and define tasks and resource requirements
  • Ensure tests are tracked and delivered on time, to specification, to budget and that changes in scope or issues are appropriately managed
  • Responsible for the development and effective deployment of robust methods and processes to ensure successful delivery to the client
  • Effectively and creatively troubleshoot problems to delivercomprehensive solutions
  • Provide line management and relevant stakeholders with regular updates on progress, proactively communicating delivery issues and client relationship concerns that may result
  • Act as main point of contact for clients for project deliverables and any associated issues
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Optimise and direct the allocation and planning of tasks and jobs in line with team skill sets and experience to ensure current and pipeline jobs are adequately resourced
  • Evaluate team and individual performance regularly and formally through regular team and 1-2-1 meetings
  • Undertake Personal Development Reviews (PDRs) setting annual objectives and review ongoing in order to maintain and achieve team and individual targets and goals
  • Manage, coach, mentor and develop direct reports to support project deliverables to harness and encourage teamwork, energy and creativeness
  • Effectively select and recruit new hires to enhance and support the future growth and development of the team and Company
  • Cultivate and maintain smooth flow of communication between departments especially sales and operations.
  • Support Director of Cyber in their responsibilities as part of the senior management group.

  • Can hold (or already have) UK Government Clearance to SC level.

  • Satisfactorily pass pre-hire and annual security clearance procedures in accordance with the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) National Vetting Scheme.
