CCL launches Streamlined Forensic Report (SFR1) for cell site evidence, supporting faster, proportionate case decisions.
CCL Solutions Group Ltd has launched a new Streamlined Forensic Report service (SFR1) for cell site evidence, providing early expert opinion to investigators and prosecutors working under increasing Criminal Justice System pressures.
Designed to support pre-charge decision-making, the SFR1 delivers a concise, peer-reviewed expert assessment of proposed cell site assertions. It is intended to help investigative teams understand the strengths, risks and limitations of cell site evidence at an earlier stage - without committing time and budget to full evidential reporting before it is required.
With case backlogs and resource constraints continuing across the CJS, traditional expert reporting models can be disproportionate at the investigative stage. The SFR1 review offers a structured alternative: authoritative expert input delivered quickly, clearly and in a format aligned to established criminal procedure.
The service enables:
The review is not a full evidential cell site report and is not intended for contested presentation at trial. Where cases proceed and full expert evidence is required, matters can be escalated through to comprehensive reporting in the usual way.
CCL’s Cell Site team is one of the very few commercial teams accredited to the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice and the DIG200 cell site standard. With more than 150 years of combined expertise, the team has an established track record of delivering robust, peer-reviewed analysis under scrutiny within the Criminal Justice System.
The SFR1 service is available immediately to law enforcement and prosecuting authorities.
