The quality, integrity, and innovation that established us as the foremost digital forensics provider to UK law enforcement is now powering and guaranteeing our work as the data partner of choice across both private and public sector.
In addition to the service portfolios of our digital forensics, discovery and disclosure, and cyber security teams, we also offer a diverse range of consulting, training and capability building solutions to clients in the UK and worldwide. These draw on the deep domain knowledge of all our teams working collaboratively; and on the skills and resources of CCL’s dedicated Centre of Excellence, which consistently rises to every emerging data recovery or protection challenge with aplomb.
We partner with NGOs, national governments, police services, and educational institutions across four continents, providing:
We are also working closely with the world-renowned Cranfield University and the Cranfield Forensic Institute (CFI), designing and delivering best-in-class Masters degrees in digital forensics. Teaching tomorrow’s analyst or nurturing today’s practitioner are essential for the continued development of a still relatively young science. Our educational and research partnership underscores not just our own commitment to the future but also our standing and reputation in the forensics arena.
More about Lab-in-a-boxCCL has recruited extensively from senior ranks across law enforcement and national security, translating into hundreds of years of aggregate experience and knowhow. We have also nurtured some of the very best talent in digital forensics, data analysis and discovery technology. Where those two facts intersect is a real CCL sweetspot: we have the ability to offer investigative support to our law enforcement clients to improve outcomes. This is about helping leverage technology and process to the full, to shorten timeframes, minimise costs and maximise public safety. It’s both advisory and hands-on work grounded in intimate knowledge of the procedural pressures and operational constraints facing today’s investigators, and drawing on a deep well of highly skilled technical resource.
CCL Forensics has held ISO 17025: accreditation since 2010 and remain one of just a handful of commercial laboratories to be accredited to both the ISO standard and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Codes of Practice and Conduct.
Our own ISO17025 training offering is based on a flexible, open and service-driven approach. It offers a structured way to share our own significant knowledge of the application of the ISO 17025 standard with bespoke workshops a popular delivery mechanism.
Usually arranged over two or three days, the emphasis is very much on practicalities – how to implement a quality management system for a digital forensics laboratory and validation of software tools and methods for ISO17025.
We are also more than happy to customise courses for clients depending on where in their accreditation cycle they require assistance.
The rapidly changing nature of technology tools, data management, security threats and regulatory controls on the one hand; and very individual, custom or one-off requirements on the other mean that there is always a push for innovation, and a steady demand for advanced programming and scripting.
CCL’s R&D resource often works at the very highest levels of national security and policing and at the last count had developed over 1600 proprietary scripts.
